Why is Trout even on the list? The team never makes the playoffs (he has played in one series and got swept) and they were terrible again this year. I can understand why Andre Dawson got the award for a great year with the last place Cubs, but they didn't give it to him year after year.

I'd consider myself an average, casual fan. I know them all except for 2. Never heard of Tim Anderson or Brandon Lowe. I haven't followed baseball as closely the past couple of seasons though.

The casual fan to me is a person that goes to a game or two each year and watches a highlight or two each week. If you're posting at the RX, you aren't a casual fan of any of the big sports.
